THE JUBILEUM ECOBALTICA FORUM! 10 years from the start!
International youth Environmental Forum of Baltic region Countries "ECOBALTICA-2006" will be this summer at VI-th time already.
Key persons who organize ECOBALTICA Forum are: The rector of St-Petersburg State Polytechnic university ,The member of RAS Michael Fiodorov, The Chair of the Commettee of environmental safety of St-Petersburg city Administration Prof. Dmitry A. Golubev, Prof. Dmitry Arseniev, Prof. Albert Bashkarev, Dr. Vasilii Rud'' (from Russian side) and Prof. Agnetha Bladh, Prof. Orn Taube, Prof. William Hogland, Dr. Marcia Gomes (from Swedish side).
Previous ECOBALTICA Forums (in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, and also 2004) was also in St-Petersburg state polytechnic university ( former Leningrad Polytekhnic Institute).
The International Youth Environmental Forum "ECOBALTICA" had an intention to establish cooperation between students and young scientists of Baltic countries through co-operation of their scientific supervisors together universities and companies. It should help them to learn how to make presentations and how to take part in scientific discussions. It has presented wide spectrum of ideas of different scientific schools. It has develop an exchange of knowledge and experience between Universities, companies, consulting firms, chiefs of cities and countries. It has ensured a friendly atmosphere not only for scientific ideas, but also for friendship.
The purpose of ECOBALTICA is to unit efforts of young scientists, managers, engineers and to unite their experience and knowledge to solve our Baltic environmental problem. Current ECOBALTICA presented new scientific ideas in various fields for environmental safety. The Program Committee will select the best student and young researcher contribution, and also invite leading experts from Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Estonia, USA, Brazil, Sweden and Russia.
ECOBALTICA FORUM all this time organize together by St.-Petersburg State Polytechnic University with Kalmar University in the framework of cooperation agreement.
